Privately Owned Forests

In privately owned forests (individuals), PE “Vojvodinašume” performs professional field tasks and provides advisory support to private forest owners. Works in privately owned forests are carried out on the basis of forest management programmes, planning documents of forest management adopted for the forests of a larger number of private forest owners. These programmes are adopted for the territory of one or more municipalities for a period of ten years, and are adopted by the competent ministry, while in the territory of the autonomous province they are adopted by the competent authority of the autonomous province with the consent of the ministry. At present, only the forest management programme has been adopted for the municipalities located in the territory of the South Bačka forest area. Until the adoption of programmes in accordance with the law, privately owned forests in the territory of other municipalities are managed on the basis of provisional forest management programmes, which are prepared and adopted each year by PE “Vojvodinašume”, and to which the competent authority of AP Vojvodina gives its consent.
